Why Research Family History?
My personal answer is because I want to know where I come
from.  And I want to honor all of my ancestors who made it
possible for me to be here now.  Many years ago I took the
family research information that my grandmother Bea Wilkinson
had compiled and my own further research and made a book.  I
made ten copies and handed them out to different families who
are related to my Wilkinson family.  The idea I had in mind was
to scatter the information around with the hope that the books
would get glanced at and then put in a safe storage box or  
hope chest where it would surf through time and be available in
a hundred years for some future generation to consult.  Every
generation seems to throw up a few people who ask that
question.  My hope is to give them some answers.
